Explore the rain forest by foot!
Sinharaja translates as Lion Kingdom, is a national park and a biodiversity hotspot in Sri Lanka. The rain forest is a treasure trove of endemic species, including trees, insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals.
It has been designated a Biosphere Reserve (1978) and World Heritage Site by UNESCO (1988).
You can choose from different trails, that will take you on a 2-3 hours trek through the forest. You will be accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide.
